Setting suggestions.

Two hundered fifty dollar budget for a setting for an 8 x 6 (ish) oval gemstone. White gold.

It would be an engagement ring for a physical therapist with size 4.5 fingers. BF would prefer a three stone, but can't really find one I think it pretty.

hey gypsy, Have you looked at Adwar or Stuller or uniquesettings? for settings on a limited budget, Michael E of Gemshoppe can order and set the stone for relatively inexpensive. I usually go to him for my recycled or gemstone projects since I haven't had anyone else that can order from those places and set my items for what he charges. He says that the adwar cast are typically a little bit heavier so obviously a little more costly, but the other two, Stuller and Uniquesettings might work. Just a thought.

Hi DT. I have, and I contacted Michael E, no dice yet. AND NOW the stone I bought was pre-sold to another customer. Yikes. No stone and DH's friend is proposing in two weeks. Crud. I bought a Lan Bo setting for the stone. Of course, I no longer get the stone. Such is life.
