I''ve decided on buying a round diamond about 1 ct. in size. My girlfriend wants it on a solitaire setting and wants a wedding band that I''ve seen called an enhancer. The band would have two diamonds that when put together with the engagement band would appear to be a 3-stone ring. Did that make sense? I plan on purchasing from Whiteflash.

Now my questions-

what size diamonds should I get to accompany the 1 ct?

what solitaire setting would everyone recommend?

if I go the white gold setting, how much should I expect to pay for the engagement ring?

And most importantly, I want to spend a total of $8k on the both, any suggestions and specifications on a round diamond?

I plan on purchasing everything in the next month. Should I bother looking at diamonds now or wait?

Thanks in advance. All responses are greatly appreciated.

Side stones from .25 each to .50 each probably will be in the range of proper graduated size. You could go smaller or larger, but it is simply a matter of taste and keeping to a good design. It should be no problem to make such a piece.

Why not just do a nice three stone for an ering - instead of an enhancer?
Three stones are classic.

Scintillating...

That was my first choice but she likes the option of wearing it as a solitaire or a 3-stone setting. I''m going to talk with her more about it and see if I can change her mind.
