Setting question

I have one more question... Right now, a four prong cathedral setting with channel set diamonds is being custom made for me for a 1.02 carat diamond. If I were to find another diamond, how much flexibility (if any) would I have in diamond size for the setter to be able to set the new diamond?

It depends on how your setting is assembled. With most cathedral style designs, the prong portion for the center stone is a separate piece and this can be replaced with another one that is appropriate for pretty much any stone you choose. In these cases you have quite a bit of flexibility. If the prongs are an integrated part of the mounting, you are much more limited. The jeweler who is making the ring should easily be able to answer this, probably even over the phone. Ring them up and ask.
