Setting Advice

Hi everybody,

is it possible to have a setting made for a diamond that the jeweller doesn't have with them. So they send me the finished setting. And a local jeweller can put the diamond in the setting? Is that a stupid idea? I want a jeweller to recreate this setting:

Talk to your jeweler. When I custom made my fiancee's setting, we were able to do all the design, etc with measurements only. Once the ring went into actual production I had the stone shipped directly to them for install.
