I am deciding whether to use a regular four prong setting or a four prong setting that has two claws at each prong location. The diamond is a regent cut. Does any one have any thoughts or suggestions? I am not sure if this is the right forum.
Thanks.

It is more difficult to set, but I personally like the look of the claws...

Allison, did you catch THIS thread? Maybe seeing so many regents mounted will help you decide what you like best

I like the eight-prong approach. For something like a regent, I find that it keeps it from looking too square.

Here's a picture of my fiancee's Jubilee with a double prong. It's something in between a single prong and a double split claw prong.
