Hi all, I have a diamond I want to sell. It was appraised in 2005 but not since then. It's not a huge stone by PS standards -- 0.52 ct RB, E, SI1. Not graded or certified. I have been looking at the grading services offered by GIA and reading some threads and information on PS about how to sell diamonds. Given that I won't be able to recoup nearly as much as I spent on it, is it worth it for a stone this size to get it appraised and/or graded/certified before attempting to sell it?
After reading about all the options of how to sell a diamond (consignment, diamond buyer, to the public, etc), I feel overwhelmed. If anyone has a recommendation based on the stats of my stone, I'm all ears. Thanks!
