I know this is silly, but this news makes me sad. In the photos and interviews I've seen of them, they seemed so in love and appeared to adore each other. I also thought it was wonderful how he adopted her oldest daughter and seemed to fully take on the role of being her father.

I didn't believe it when I read it on yahoo. I thought they were going to be together forever!
Don't they know how hard it is to find an SO that is willing to dress up in matching ape outfits?

I think it is really sad. But it is hard for couples like that to make it, because they can so easily afford to split. Almost all marriages go through difficult times or at least dry spells, and most of us realize the huge financial difficulties of giving up, not to mention the much greater cost to the children.

I sometimes wonder if any celebrities will make it. I am hoping for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, though.

Yea when I saw it on TMZ on like Thursday or Friday I didn't believe it. Supposedly he has a HORRIBLE temper and she just could not deal with him anymore. Pretty sad, I thought they'd make it.

That's what I read, too. Maybe he couldn't deal with her success?

I can't believe she's had 4 children and she still likes like that.

I was surprised to read that they are separating. I thought it was so sweet that they renewed their vows in elaborate ceremonies, every year on their anniversary.

Sad. Does no one work at a marriage any more???
