Scissor cut/frenchie ring from Tianyu

Here are some photos of the ring I had made by Tianyu. Center is 9.5x7 scissor cut. Sides are graduated french cuts. All fg. They nailed the frenchie channel sides which I was nervous about. It glitters more than I was really expecting in the sun but my phone camera isn't really capturing it. The one niggle I have with this and my c&c moissy is they take on a bluish tinge in very strong sun, like a fluorescent diamond. Guessing it has to do with whatever treatment is used to make the stones so white and UV light. We get a lot of uv in the texas summer which is when I notice this effect.




With my other simulants....c&c f1 h&a on the left, berricle cz in the middle, tianyu on the right. I have to say for the price the berricle is super impressive.

me too! i wanted something more geometric than my usual style. i think this design would also work really well with an emerald or asscher

I think the scissor cut is a great alternative to an EC - I do like ECs but I think that the central band can go a bit dark/quiet at some angles because they are all parallel facets, whereas the scissor cut has different angles on the central band of facets, which would be active at more angles, doesn't it??

That was my thought as well. Emerald cuts are classic but "slow blinking" if you will. I saw crisscuts at a jeweler near me and thought the "fast blinking" looked neat. The scissor cut also mirrors the french cut sides better to me.

The cluster ring looks better irl than i expected. It is large amd in charge. Haven't worn it outside of the house yet but enjoying getting a sense of what a large halo would look/feel like.
