So I saw the stone today.
Princess
F Color
VS2
2.59 carat
7.62 x 7.48 x 5.36mm
71.7% depth
70% table
Girdle - medium to slightly thick
culet - none
polish - very good
symmetry - good
Fluorescence - faint.
-- The diamone looked beautiful to me but I am untrained. It is especially hard to pick and choose unless you are looking at two similiar diamonds side by side which does not seem to happen.
The jeweler mentioned that sometimes the rocks look good on paper and then not so good in person, but in this case he was very impressed with the stone.
So my question is? based on the numbers, is this a good porportioned stone?
The price negotiated: $24,750 Is this a good deal? (this is of course without setting)
How do I know compare this to other stones at other jewelers? If the stones are not side by side, am I just breaking down the numbers??
I found another Gemologist who has a Princess,
VS2,

no flouresence
ideal cut.. (???) there is no such thing as a princess ideal cut??
Is this stone a better deal? It doesn''t seem like it..
