Sapphire damage

Any clue what could have caused this. The stone is only 1 year old and is a flux grown man made stone.

all it takes is a good whack on a table or anything else to cause that.

What causes the oil slick spot,a chip or a crack in the stone? Is it possible that the stone had an inclusion that is just now displaying itself on the surface? Should I replace the stone or is there a high likelihood that this will happen again?

We only discuss natural gemstones on this forum. Man made stones aren't discussed.
