Same stone at Whiteflash and James Allen

Same GIA cert number and size.

Given that it's under Whiteflash's 'Virtual Selection' and needs to be brought in while James Allen has a video of the stone, does that mean the James Allen has the actual stone and if so, is it off the market for purchase from Whiteflash?

We were hoping to get a custom setting for the stone from Whiteflash, so does this mean we need to buy from James Allen and get it sent to Whiteflash for the setting?

Nope, you can order it from WhiteFlash. James Allen is at least partly owned by a diamond supplier and many of their stones will be found on virtual lists of other vendors. I think many of the stones are not at James Allen, they are with the supplier(s). Wait and have WF do the idealscope image to make sure the stone is okay.

Excellent, thanks for the explanation and prompt reply! I guess what threw me was that James Allen had much better images of the stone whilst WF only had a 'sample' image.

We're after a heart shape so we'll ask them for a ASET image if possible. At least we've seen the video on James Allen so we're comfortable with how it looks.
