Ruby prices at vendor seems strange

Overly dark/giant windows/highly included/undesirable color modifiers. Some look a bit better than others, but in general I think you are going to get what you pay for. Ugly rubies can be overpriced (in malls, on TV, etc.); I think MC's pricing is pretty fair.
 
Those are pretty dark, with purple modifiers, one has a big window, the other has a lesser window, but weird extinction.

So, color sucks, cutting sucks. But the main thing is color.

Are these rubies Be treated but misidentified in the treatment section? What is wrong with them?

He's a very reputable dealer, but not all unheated rubies are $$$$. Like any gem, there are various qualities. At least he's not overcharging for that particular quality, just because they're rubies and unheated.

+1. Those rubies have colour, clarity and cut issues and thus are priced accordingly.
