I needed to find out the depth of my EC diamond, and noticed for the first time that the carat weight stated on the HRD label attached to the original paper packaging is "1.19ct (1.19808)", however, it states 1.19ct only on the HRD certificate.

Just wondering if this is normal practice to round down the carat weight on the certificate please, thanks for your help in advance.

DK :))

P.S. I am rather pleased to discovered my EC is closer to 1.20ct than 1.19ct! :naughty:

But if you round it more it's only 1 carat.

True, however, that's good enough for me too, as it is mine, all mine!

The guideline is that diamond weight can only be rounded up to the next highest hundredth if there's a nine in the thousandth place. So 1.198 is rounded to 1.19 while 1.199 could be rounded to 1.2.
