A rose cut has no pavilion , therefore is there no light return? What do they look like just big windows in the stone?

How do they compare to other stones in pricing and MM size for a 1 ct stone?

Again:

DO. YOUR. OWN. RESEARCH. If you want to know about spread, look up rose cuts and compare the spread.

Rose cuts are much cheaper by carat weight. They are also cut very shallow so they will look very large. Because of the way they are cut, they also have a very different appearance - they aren't sparkly. Rose cuts reflect light off the facets rather than sparkle from refraction inside the diamond.

You can't really walk into a store and buy a rose cut - have to go to estate store, vintage stores, etc. Jennifer Aniston's new erring is a rose cut (very over priced and cloudy one).

You can buy them off ebay and my local jeweler here Joe Escobar had/has some if you are in Nor Cal.

Thanks Gypsy , I did do a search on rose cuts on the forum but didn't find anything.
