Hi to all the rock expertise!

I’m loooking to propose to my gf and I am looking at a few diamonds on bluenile. There is one which I have selected which has a Low HCA score of 0.9

Specs are as follows:
Size: 0.91
Color: H
Clarity: VS2
Triple excellent

Depth: 61.8
Table: 57
Crown angle: 34.5
Pavilion: 40.6
Gridle - Slightly thick: 4.5%

Do Share your thoughts with me and whether this is a worthy deal.

Thank you!

The HCA is a rejection tool not a selection tool - anything under 2 is worthy of investigation.

The table is perhaps a little larger than some on here might like, but the HCA<2 score indicates the angles of the crown and pavilion are complementary and should work together.

Do you have it on hold? If so, posting a link to it might help others assist (assuming there are pictures and/or a video available on the webpage).

Well, the picture of the diamond looks like this.

Although many like a smaller table, I wouldn't call 57 large. Many superideal stones including HPD and ACAs have 57% table diamonds in their range. Looks like a beautifully cut stone.

I think the only thing I'd want to check was that the Clouds mentioned as being the grade setting inclusion in the report are not affecting light return or producing any 'haziness', although as it's a VS2, it should be just fine.

There is another diamond with the same HCA score of 0.9, with a table of 56. Will this have a slightly better performance?

Many thanks!

The higher crown may give more dispersion (and therefore coloured 'fire') but both should be just fine, I reckon.
