My gf has been obsessing over the Ritani 4 prong endless love setting (the one without the halo) for the last couple of weeks but she also likes square diamonds (cushion, jubilee). Would Ritani set a cushion or jubilee into that setting or is it better to go custom?
I''ve seen a few cushion cuts in micro pave settings but no jubilees yet. Do you think the jubilee would look alright in a micro pave setting? I know this is all personal preference but could you maybe tell me what you think anyways?

I probably have a couple more questions but I can''t think of them now..

I have seen a photo of a Ritani online with a princess center stone. It's a pretty rare photo though - I found it on the knot originally, and haven't seen it on any jeweler's sites or even the Ritani site. I went to a jeweler here to look at the Ritani settings in person, and they didn't have the princess one either. But the woman there contacted Ritani about it and apparantly they still make it. I'm not sure if it would also fit a cushion or jubliee though. Let me see if I can attach the photo (this is my first time attempting to post a photo, so bear with me!)

On their website, it mentions setting different shaped stones, so I''m pretty sure they could set a jubilee or cushion in that particular setting.

You can email them: [email protected] or go through a jeweler that works with them. I''m currently waiting for my Ritani e-ring and my soon-to-be and I went through Diamond Broker''s of Florida to get my ring. Email Jan. She''s very nice and always quick to respond. [email protected]

Good luck.

I can''t answer your question about the Ritani setting, but I think a jubilee would look lovely in a micro pave setting! In fact, I don''t think any shape could look bad in such a classic setting.

Thanks for your replies! I'll email them to see if it's possible to set a jubilee or cushion in that setting. I was concerned because the basket in the setting is rounded to accomodate the round stones (I'm very new to this and don't know how different it is with squares).
What are the size of the diamonds in the pave band? I've seen Kayla's ritani rings (gorgeous!) and they are .25-.30 tcw but how big is each one? Just out of curiosity.
Would a smaller diamond (.7-.8) look as good in the setting? I've only seen 1ct+..
Is it possible to arrange this all online? I live in Canada and not only is it a long drive (and difficult to keep it a secret), but with the new law requiring passports to get into the states is a big pain in the butt (although it doesn't take effect until January). I don't think there are any Canadian retailers for Ritani.
I have so many questions.. I should just email them and ask..but I'm not planning on purchasing for a few months still (need to save up some money!) but trying to gather information before.

Well, I know they have that setting for princess cut stones, so I don't think a jubilee should be a problem. I think you should contact DBOF and speak with Jan. I've spoken with her several times on the phone, and like I said, she has been very helpful. I don't think you can go directly through Ritani to order your ring. I think you need to go through a jeweler who is authorized to sell Ritani.

Ritani does custom work too so I'm sure they could custom make that setting to fit your jubilee or cushion.

By the way, pictures do not do that setting justice, it is really beautiful and delicate. With the matching wedding band(s) - WOW.

Good luck.

I''ve too have seen a pic of that Ritani setting with a princess. Pearlman''s Jewelers have a pic of it with a princess cut:

I don''t imagine another square cut like the jubilee would be a problem! And I think it would look AWESOME!

Would a smaller diamond (.7-.8) look as good in the setting? I''ve only seen 1ct+..
Also yup I think a "smaller" diamond would look great. The Ritani band is very thin and will make a .7 or .8 look bigger, I''d imagine. I think it will look fabulous!
