Ring Size v. Stone Diameter

Hey everyone, first post on the forums although Ive been reading postings for quite sometime. Looking to get engaged soon and in the process of finding a Round Brilliant stone. Does anyone have pics of a size 5-1/2 ring with a 1.75ct Round center? Im leaning towards a center stone in the 1.65-1.75 range and would love to see a pic for proportional values.

And if you dont have a pic, your opinions are welcome. I dont want to get too gaudy but at the same time I want her friends to notice...

I have a 1.76 round, and a size 6.5 finger. It doesn't get much attention, which is why I am resetting it into a halo mount. (Hubby says "that's because all eyes are on me, not the ring" ~ ain't he sweet!! ) Maybe he just doesn't want me to reset it?? lol There's pics of my solitaire in various threads in here. I have a size 5 1/2 with a 1.63 ct. stone at 7.6mm in diameter. I do think it fits your description of being larger but not too much. Here is a thread with a few pictures:

That will be a great size. I have a 7mm stone (though an asscher) on a 5.75 finger and that grabs attention.

Though I''ll admit that personally I notice a ring more based on the setting than the center stone. So I''ll notice a 1ct stone with a beautiful setting before I''d notice a 2.5ct solitaire...

Sounds like a perfect size. I have a 1.67 on a size 4.5 and I love it.

sounds wonderful! 1.65 - 1.75 is well above the average, and with her slim fingers should make quite a statement of the "look how much he loves me - aren''t i a lucky girl?" variety!
