Hey Everyone

I have been doing some "window" shopping with my girlfriend for the past few weeks. We just returned from vacation in Las Vegas and looked at a few different rings while we were there.

I have always like a classic princess cut diamond, but I was looking at a few rings that really caught my eye that were cushion cuts. Got me thinking to maybe go a different route that I had planned. About a year ago I was in Las Vegas and fell in love with a radiant cut diamond ring. The centre stone is radiant cut totalling 3.02cts. The colour is H and clarity is SII. The mounting totals .93cts and is platinum. The centre is GIA certified retail is 56,500.

Now the more research I have been doing is that diamond although is not a horrible diamond it isn't over the top amazing. I would say the number one important thing to me is the sparkle. This is leading me to better quality diamonds but in a smaller ct size.

So My only parameters are has to be under 60,000.00
No Solitare diamonds by them selves, as she does not like that. She doesn't mind a solitaire with diamond surrounding it.
Princess, Radiant or cushion.

Show me some awesome examples please

I don't think I can be of much help but I wanted to bump this for you

Since you aren't sure what to buy, have you asked her or just tried to find out what she likes? I think those 3 stones are very different. You have a great budget but finding out what she would like would be awesome since she will be wearing it.

here is some good info to get you started

You should probably narrow down your search at this point. Have you perused some of the online vendors to get a better idea of what you want? Here are a few sites with some great eye candy to get you started:

http://jewelsbyericagrace.com/
http://www.goodoldgold.com/Home/
http://www.rauantiques.com/jewelry/
http://www.langantiques.com/products/category/diamond-rings

There are many more, but you can start with these. Once you've narrowed down what you like, then you start a search for a stone, and either a setting or someone to custom make a setting for you. Many people on this site will be happy to help you through the entire process and gladly give you their opinions.

Best of luck to you and your fiance!
