I have designed a 3-stone engagement ring with the following specifics.

Center diamond: .94 carats G SI1

side diamonds: .25 carats each, also G SI1

I know this has been discussed recently, but are .25 carat side stones OK for a .94 carat diamond? Or am I better off getting bigger side stones for a 3-stone look.

FYI, the setting is very low, with the center diamond raised only slightly, rather than elevated to look like a solitaire.

Thanks.

I like smaller stones with an e-ring. Makes it look more like a proper e-ring instead of an anniversary band.

I''m having my 6mm diamond set between 3mm sides. I, too, prefer the distinctly smaller side stones for an engagement ring.
