I think I need to resize my new ring. It fits over my knuckles, but is just too big when it''s on my finger.
It flops around from side to side, obviously too big. But 2 issues bother me. One being what if I resize now
while the weather is cool and my fingers are smaller, then when the heat returns my finger size increases.
Secondly and more important, the shank is 3-sided pave, platinum. I''m afraid if I try to take it down a 1/8 - 1/4
size, then the pave will be strained.

I really don''t want to go through shipping it back to Leon and all the hassle that presents, so I''m thinking of trying
to find someone here in HOuston that I can trust to work with me on this. Maybe Whiteflash. The shots that Leon
put in are small IMHO, so maybe we could remove those and add 4 (?) .

I could do 2 things:

resize, maybe if possible

add extra, larger shots

Opinions?

bebe: I cant answer that question like an expert, but, if for whatever reason you'd like to loan me your ring for a day or two to let me see how that amazing piece of art looks on my fingers (or around my neck because I wear a size 4) I would be delighted to borrow it for an undisclosed amount of time

BTW: I didnt see the side in your other thread...its amazing! But, if I were you, I'd send it back to Leon. I just would hate to see anything happen to it at all. I think the bead things could be made larger and it would fit better though...no idea for sure! I'm just going to drool over this for a minute...would you mind posting a hand shot so we can see how "loose" it really is

(you really dont have to, I just need another angle to drool over it for a bit...

Honestly, I wouldn''t let someone else mess with it. I would send it to Leon.

agreed. I also think you might want to wait until the weather warms up. my rings are very loose right now but in the summer they fit fine. If it''s still loose in the summer then send it to Leon and have him size it down a bit. I don''t think the tiny amount you are needing will compromise the pave but Leon will answer you honestly. You can always have the sizing beads/bumps added to the inside which can be removed so it will fit better during the cold months.

what if I had someone add 2 more shots? I understand that is a simple process. Then maybe a quick trip to NYC
to see Leon later?

yes, I''d try adding 2 more of the sizing beads and see if that makes a difference. I would just hold off doing any permanent sizing until the weather changes.

OMG...the side of your ring is amazing! Can you give us a link to your thread (SMTR) or where ever it is. I''d
like to be introduced face to face with your ring

BTW, I agree with the others...more sizing beads until summer then see Leon if need be.

I don''t have a Leon (OG your ring is gorgeous), but I do have a 3-sided pave ring which needed to be resized recently. My jeweler cautioned me against it because I needed to go from a 6.25 down to a 5.25 (gotta love losing weight!). I had sizing beads in it, but they weren''t doing the job anymore, so he put in a horseshoe sizer. It''s great! It adjusts to go over my knuckle, but then it grips the finger to keep the ring on. It''s just loose enough to feel comfortable and not give me a "sausage" look, and the sides adjust to accommodate swelling etc. I don''t have to change the size, so I have a full finger size to move up in when I''m pregnant, etc.

gorgeous ring!
