Hey all!

I am new to the forum and am quit exited to be posting for the first time.

I bought this ring at a “Mystic” store near where I live. It is a silvery gold colour (looks more silver in person) and was labeled with a tag that read “Indian Garnet Ring.” I do not know what it actually is, how old it is or what it’s even made of as there are no marks. I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on this piece.

Thanks :)

How much does it weigh?

Indian jewellery is traditionally high-karat gold so tends to be very yellow.

This looks like garnet for sure. You say it is "silvery gold", so I don't think it is sterling. It
could be pot metal, or a mix of metals often used for hand made jewelry of this type.

By the condition of the bezels, it looks well worn. I'm assuming it is an older piece, maybe from the 1970's or so.
It will probably take a nice polish, and if you can smooth out those bezels around the stones, it will look great!!
