My boyfriend knows I''d like to pick out my engagement ring, and becasue looking at pretty rings is fun, I''ve got some saved ideas.

I want a very low setting. I have a ring now that''s moderately high and I''ve scratched myself or BF a few times. I''d like something more suitable for wearing 24/7.

In my searches this is what I''ve come up with so far.

This one looks low, though I can''t be sure: http://www.krikawa.com/rings/engagement-rings/engagement-ring-solitaire-CBND-tn.jpg
I''m not quite as in love with this one:

Does anyone have any suggestions, things they''ve come across?

What are your ring ideas looking like right now?

Hi UnderBlue,

James Meyer has some lovely bezels with a neo-antique feel - some set low and some set high, but not scratchy.

His son Caleb Meyer also does bezeled rings, in a more modern style.

Those are all gorgeous choices, underblue! Is there anyway you can try some of your options on? You may "fall in love" with a certain ring or a certain style. Good luck with your search!

@Hope: Thanks for those links! I''ve bookmarked them for the future.

@Lucky: Unfortunately I can''t try them on yet. I''ve thought about printing them out life-sized and then taping them around my finger though. =p

UnderBlue...you wouldn''t be the first to do that!!!

And I second the Meyer suggestions. They do some beautiful detailed bezel work, and that appears to be something you''re fond of!

I think this one is kind of cool, although not what I would want for me:

The first thing that comes to mind when i see this one is cute. It''s sweet but youthful.

That 3rd Caleb Meyer in is so different. I like it.

If I were you I'd go to a couple of stores and try on different settings. Before I got my ering I was convinced that I wanted a low set split shank setting but when I got it I really didn't like it and it began to look more like a cocktail ring than an ering. I changed it to a solitaire and I very happy with it now.
