Ring Cast - Help! with photos

So Erd went ahead and casted the piece without my final approval. Im disappointed and confused by this move on their part.
These are the images they sent to me: thoughts?
I have written to them that I disappointed by how they have been handling this and this is not what I expect from a custom piece process. I have not heard back but I'm also not sure what I can do, they already made the ring.

I don't know where you started with your vision for this piece, but I love the classic sophistication of the setting in the photo. It's simple, elegant and something that will never go out of style. You have to love it though.

Hello Honor,
Hmmmm. That is disappointing. My guess is that they wanted to get it done before the NYC jewelry industry shuts down for the next two weeks (they all take vacay). Obviously that is not a good excuse to go into production before the client is happy.

The real question is do you like the setting as is????

Oh wow, I just saw your other post where you were still working on feedback 2 days ago!

The cast actually looks more delicate than the CAD images in your other thread, so that's good.

Maybe you should ask for a shot that shows the galley under the cushion? It's hard to tell from these pictures what it looks like. Does the shape mimic the cushion?

ETA - Personally I wouldn't want double claw prongs for the sidetones. To me, that would be overkill and not delicate.

maybe there was a miscommunication? Can you call as well asap rather than email? Don't want them to set the stones if you aren't pleased.

ERD is going to send me revised CADS tomorrow and scrap the ring they have already casted. They were very responsive to my email, and admitted to getting caught up in the time crunch before the 2 weeks off in July. They make this ring all the time and I know they know how to make it, I think they went into autopilot without realizing that I might want something a little different.
keep you fingers crossed that everything will be trouble free from this point on.
