Hello Everyone!!
Ok, so returned the studs https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/keep-the-studs-or-return-them-that-is-the-question.73735/

and my search is starting all over again. Since I want to get jackets (halo setting ) with them how big should I go with the center stone? THis time I don''t want to see any inclusions to the naked eye. ''ve been there done that.
I have a 4 carat round brilliant engagement ring and my question is how small should i go with the studs considering the size of my engagment ring?
ANyone has any suggestions of stones? I don''t have a lot of time shopping since I have a daughter of 14 months and we are in process of moving but I want to get my studs really soon. My husband told me 7 months ago I should buy studs and I still don''t have them.. ugh..
Thanks everyone!

Well, I don''t go by what size ring you wear as a rule, I know some do. If it were me, and jackets would be worn sometimes, I''d go with about .40-.50. Unless you have really big lobes to accomodate the jackets well, as they do take up a good amount of space.

You can get eyeclean SI1''s and maybe even SI2, it varies from stone to stone. Just have the vendor eyeball them for you.

If you wanted help looking, you''d need to give us a budget and preferred specs on color.

OK, I need to see that ring. =) 2tcw - 2.5tcw studs should be fine with that size ring.

As Ellen has pointed out, you'll have to have a smaller diamond to wear in a jacket. With an e-ring that size, I'd want studs that were substantial enough to wear alone since that is how you'd wear them the most. So depending on the size of your earlobes, I'd also say a carat or so each. I wouldn't really want larger than that unless I had large earlobes.

For jackets, I'd say .75 each MAX. And that would look really large with jackets. I'd get Leon Mege jackets.

(I'm clarity-sensitive, too, and I chose VS2 for my studs so I wouldn't have to worry about it!)

My vote is for 1.5 carat total weight. I think that size is very noticeable on it''s own but still small enough for jackets. This, of course, depends on the size of your ear lobes.

Thanks for your responses everyone.
I still don''t have pictures of my e-ring. Everytime I take them, they look sooo different than in real life :-(

My budget is 10K. I guess the color can be G-H and VS1 or VS2. As I stessed out, I don''t want any inslusions to the naked eye.
How are Whiteflash jackets? Are the close to the stone or are they lower than the stone? It is hard to tell in the picture? What about their diamonds? I noticed they have ACA stones and Expert selection. Which one would you recommend?
Thanks again for your help. I can''t wait to decide and buy my studs.. My husband laughs at me that it is taking me so long.. but i want to make the right decision.
