So some of you probably know that I purchased a tiffany solitaire from signed pieces, which I am asking them to hold for me while I am on vacation for the holidays so I don''t have it yet. My question is actually about getting a ring sized at tiffany''s. I have been told that the price will be $170 for sizing up, which I have come to term with, haha. But the problem is that I am about three hours from the nearest tiffany store and I don''t have access to my car at least until february. Is it possible to mail a ring for resizing to tiffany, or, if I could find transportation to the store to give them the ring, could they ship it back to me so I wouldn''t have to make the trip again? I hate to keep shipping the ring everywhere, but I want to get this done as soon as possible.
What do you guys think? I can get it sized locally but I am worried about getting it worked on by anyone besides tiffany and I also need to get it evaluated by tiffany anyway for insurance purposes. This is even more frustrating because it was listed as a 6.5 on the signed pieces site but was actually a 5.75, which we found out later. I wish we could just have signed pieces bring it to tiffany''s for us, it seems so silly to ship it from new york to me and right back to new york. And now that I''ve paid for the ring I just want to see it on her finger! all the waiting is killing me!
