Hi guys,
I am resetting my radiant diamond into a halo and just received the CADS. I love everything about it, just want to make sure it doesn''t look too high. They said from finger to table it was 6.5mm. Is that/will that look too high? One pic looks kind of high, one pic looks good.

Thanks for your help!

I don''t think it will be too high at all. BTW, I absolutely LOVE

the setting. Please be sure to post hand shots when you finally get it!!!

I understand your concern for the height of the setting. I''m one of those who likes the center stone as low as possible but it''s a matter of taste for each person. What is the depth of your radiant? That may have some impact on high the setting will sit on your finger. Do you recall how high the diamond sat on your finger in your old setting? If it looks high to you, maybe you should call WF anad ask if it is possible to slightly lower the setting so that the culet is closer to the shank of the ring.
I think it will be a beautiful ring when completed.

i love the east to west on your setting! as far as the height goes, i prefer as low as possible from the point of the culet to the bottom of the ring. in my own halo, there is only about 1mm of space from the culet to the bottom of the ring. if your ring was mine, i would ask that it be lowered.

I see your concern for height, but IMO the lines are very graceful, and I like the way the shank swoops upwards towards the halo, and tapers in towards the stone. It is a nice balance of architecture/modernity and old-fashioned sparkle.

It will be a beautiful piece.

Can''t wait to see it in handshots!

I think the lines are beautiful and very graceful. However, I share your concerns that it could be a little high.

Have you a preference on whether you want any wedding band to sit flush or not?
If you have specified a flush fit wedding band then that would be a reason for the higher setting.
Its best to talk to your vendor and explain your preferences as well as listen to any advice they give you re. optimum height.

I dont have an opinion on the height but it looks like you have been given lots of good advise. I just wanted to say
I love that setting. It is so pretty and graceful. Be sure and post pictures when you get it finished. I''m sure it
will be lovely!

Hi All!

Thanks for all of the good advice and compliments. At 6.5mm it does sit .3mm shorter than my original ering setting which I loved so it might be ok. Ahhh! Custom work is hard to judge on the computer!

I will post pics when I get it done!

Hi guys,

That was my immediate thought, but I generally prefer rings to be set as low as possible... this ring certainly could be set quite a bit lower, if you want it to be. If you like height, then certainly it''s not "too high," just a matter of taste!
