Reputable jewellers in Singapore

Does anyone have any good recommendation for jewellwers in Singapore that can give a good price on loose diamonds? Especially those PSs with experience buying diamonds in singapore. I have read a thread with this site called idealgems.com.sg .

I am not really interested into buying from the major chain stores like citigems/sookee/Tianpo/lee hwa etc. Although I will go in to have a look. But yet places like Larry''s seems to be too posh. Sometimes its scary to even approach the place.

I have seen a person from Charlotte Atelier posting here. Think they have a branch in Suntec/Ngee Ann city area. Is there any other retailers I left our or anyone knows of any good places to go see and look??

Right now I am in the favor of getting from one of the online stores in the US like GOG,WF,JA etc. but then I can''t physically see the diamond.Any one in singapore have experiences getting from any of the above mentioned onlines stores? Do share your experience.

I am in SG and would not recommend buying from ANY B&M store because of the extremely high mark-ups.

I know of some dealers in SG who offer better prices than B&M stores but in my own experience, online vendors have better pricing and also importantly they offer upgrade as well as return policies. I've bought from JA and am very happy with them and their more competitive pricing; and I also like their magnified images. Other PS'ers have happily bought from the other online vendors though you pay a bit more (partly, I believe, because they provide more like Idealscope, H&A images etc). If you ask Jim Schultz of JA however for Idealscope images, I believe he'd be happy to provide them too.

It's easier to buy RB's online that fancies, but I have bought both online and would not hesitate to recommend buying online. However, I have some friends IRL who would not at all be comfortable with buying sight unseen
