I upgraded my diamond with Whiteflash when I got engaged again. I still have the custom made setting from a long time ago. It is platinum with 1.45 carats of pave set diamonds. Is there a place I can work with to have the band melted down and the diamonds reset into something for my right hand?

Could you find a coloured stone or something for that setting instead?

I could be wrong, however the ring setting is likely to be scrapped for the scrap value to be deducted from the cost of making a new setting.
A lot of benches do not like to reuse old settings by melting them down due to uncertainties with their precious metal content and other impurities is what I had been informed in the past.
DK :))

They won’t use the diamonds though? It was originally set with an Ascher cut diamond so I’m not going to ever use it again. I’m okay with paying for new metal. I just want to do something with it. I could lose my phone while it’s still in my hands…the setting never gets lost. My father paid for the ring and setting so that’s why I would like to do something with it and why I still have it.

I wojld reach out to someone like David Klass and try to design a band / ring for your right hand with the diamonds.

How about setting a lab Asscher in it?
