I finally got around to taking pictures of the Barry Bridgestock cushion amethyst I bought my mom. It was part of his Jan. inventory.

5.04 ct.
10 mm
Cushion cut

Going to be set in an LOGR Legacy-type setting, 14 kt. white gold, which will hopefully arrive soon!

They don''t (well they might, but not in the Legacy type). I had to have it custom made, which unfortunately made the price jump up a lot (it was $400 total). There was a similar more inexpensive halo setting but I asked my mom and she wanted this particular one (since she had seen my garnet LOGR over Christmas). I haven''t gotten it yet though - I''m hoping it''ll arrive today before I make my trip up to my jewelers but it''ll probably be next week.

The amethyst is beautiful! Purple is one of my favorite colors too, and I would much prefer a purple stone over a blue one. I don''t know why I''m not drawn to blue. Have you decided how you are going to set this one?

Sorry, I just caught this. Great choice on the setting, it will really showcase the amethyst. But HOW did I miss the 5 Carat, 10 mm part???

The amethyst will look very nice in that setting! Your mother is going to love the final product, in fact, I love the final product and I have not even seen it set. If I were to go that route, I wonder if I could do the top in gold and keep the shank white gold.
