Regent vs Round for earrings - opinions??

Hi there - I am in the market for some diamond studs. I am a diamond novice - though have learned a bit this past month on PS. It''s my understanding that a round brillant excellent cut will have the most sparkle, etc. How do regents compare? I like how they are a bit different then the norm that most people have.

General thoughts on regents vs rounds please. Plus, how do they compare cost wise?
