Referral Fee

Hey,

I was reffered to BG through this site, and just ended up purchasing a beautiful ring. I noted that there is a referral fee that can be claimed by the person who referred me of $100. I'd love to give it to the person in this forum who referred me (Amysbling), but as there is no private messaging system on this website in order to contact directly and get relevant information, I'm not sure if there is a way this is done. If Amysbling works for BG, then I guess it wouldnt matter anyway.

Let me know if I can do anything.

Not to burst your bubble, but those referrals are not for people on Pricescope who are strangers. The policy on the PS vendors' websites about referrals usually specifically state this.

Hi All,

I want to clarify our referral program. The $50 and $100 referral gifts are only given to existing customers who refer new customers. They are not given to anyone else. If a poster here on Pricescope makes recommendations to another poster who ends up making a purchase here at BGD, unless the original poster is an existing customer, he/she will not be eligible for the referral gift. I hope this clarifies any misunderstandings or misinformation here.

It has never been our policy to give referral gifts to posters here on Pricescope who are not our existing customers. The question of who gets a referral gift came up here on Pricescope several years ago when Brian and I were still at Whiteflash. On a consumer forum it is natural for posters to become excited about products and companies and to make recommendations based on what they have read and seen, without having necessarily made a purchase at any particular company. The rule was implemented then that referral gifts were not to be given to Pricescope posters who were not existing customers. I know that I speak for all vendors here when I say how grateful we all are for the support and trust you have in so many of us. The fact that you feel comfortable referring perfect strangers to make one of the largest and most important purchases of their lives at one of the vendors who participate here is a testament to what an incredible place Pricescope is.
