Can someone give me some sites that will just give me general information on diamonds?? I.E. I dont know what depth, Culet, Girdle and all that are!!! Thanks

The "Knowledge" section here on PS (link at the top of the page) is the best source for information. It has one of the most comprehensive tutorials around.

good for you sheparay! (i saw your other post.) educating yourself is definitely the first step toward ending up with a great stone!

if you do the tutorials here (under "knowledge", above) and at www.goodoldgold.com you'll be light years wiser when you're through. then you may want to search through old posts here (search tool, above) discussing cut parameters for whatever shape of diamond you're interested in.

oh, and i think you'll find that, once you're armed with your newfound diamond knowledge, you can do a lot better (both in terns of quality and price) buying through one of the pricescope vendors or a reputable local vendor, as opposed to those mall/chain stores you were talking about before. good luck!
