Received ring but found scratches on the ring (pics)

Hi all,

I've recently purchased a diamond ring from GOG and found two little scratches on the ring.

I contacted them to see what can be done here, but I am very disappointed with the craftsmanship.

While these scratches are not big, but these are definitely visible with naked eyes.

When I purchase an expensive ring, I expect no flaws -- am I being too sensitive here?

Nope! I'd feel the exact same way especially since it's from a place that's so highly regarded on here.....I'd send that back and demand it's polished and plated if necessary at no cost.

Are you sure they're actual scratches, and not water spots or something?

Regardless, they should not be there, I agree.

I am sure it was an oversight since they must be very tiny in normal viewing conditions. I am sure they will fix it for you!

Did you just receive it this weekend? They are closed on Sunday and Monday, so you won't be able to reach them until Tuesday.

They are not water spots, you can feel it with your nails.

And I received them this Friday. I can't believe I didn't notice it right off the box.

Send it back! I am sure this will be resolved right away. After all they are known for their customer service, but all companies no matter how awesome will make a mistake now and then. Aside from the scratches, your ring looks beautiful.

It is a gorgeous ring! I'm sure you were heart broken to notice an imperfection, but look how awesome rhino is for jumping in and resolving right away! Yay GOG!

I'm new here, so I might be wrong. It looks like that's where they hold the ring while working on the head while placing the head on the shank. That can be simply buffed in a second. At least the prongs look PERFECT! One time I had my solitaire six-pronged head worked on and the prongs weren't symmetrical when I got it back! Now that's not cool!
