Reasonable quote for 7-stone anniversary band?

I have fallen in love with a 7-stone anniversary band at a local B&M that is very similar to the attached photo from the Facets collection. They are quoting me $2999 for 1ctw of G-H, SI stones in a 6-1/2 Platinum ring. Manufacturer is Golden West. The Facets ring is priced at $2394 for 1ctw F-G, VVS-VS.
First of all, is the B&M just overpriced? If so, how do I negotiate using the Facets price point? How much should I expect the B&M to be willing to negotiate?

FWIW, I do like the B&M setting a little more than Facets. Plus, I''m a little nervous about buying online without ever seeing the goods in person. Please advise!

there normally is a higher markup at local stores b/c their overhead it more. they have big stores to maintain. You can always go into the store and tell them how much you love the ring but you found something similar from a store in NY that is priced lower and see if they''d be willing to price match or come down in price a bit. They may or may not be able to do it but it never hurts to ask. As for buying online, it can be scary but facets has a store in NY and also a very generous 30 day return policy so it makes it much easier in my opinion. I am one that thinks paying a little bit more to go with a local vendor who can service your ring isn''t a bad idea though either so if you love it, try to haggle down the price a bit but I''d probably just purchase the local one.
