hi i have been viewing the boards for a while I could really use some help here

BF asked what ring I like which tells me he will be proposing soon.:)

my problem now is that i went over to KAYS JEWELERS in the mall and liked a particular ideal stone ($4999)
http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1|10101|10001|-1|150852008|15064|15064.15118.15486

I want the best stone (ideal round) with a crystal like sparkle

Is this one comparable

I basically need a nice ideal ring with a reasonable setting preferably platinum under $2000 dollars
is this possible please tell me your suggestions

thanks

The stone you picked out at JA looks like a nice candidate, do you have it on hold?

If you tell me which ring it is on that page then I can link it for you.

i picked the most affordable platinum solitaire not too crazy about it though

anyone have a picture of what the setting actually looks like on the ring finger?

Which type of setting?

The knife-edge Pt solitaire setting? Then the stone I picked should be in your budget.

can i see it:) the setting?

sorry, still not sure which setting it is. can you copy down the description of the setting?

Here is the kay''s setting that you liked... it is very, VERY similar to the Vatche solitaire (will include in the next post).

nice can''t wait:)

Here's the Vatche X Prong... I believe that this setting style is commonly called a 'trellis?' Maybe?

Here is the Vatche setting on Good Old Gold... there are more variations, with more exciting profiles (if you want!). Good Old Gold is also a respected pricescope vendor, and you could surely find a great stone through them, or have the setting you want from another vendor shipped to James Allen (if you are wanting to use them for the stone).

Is that the setting you were thinking of originally?

Here's an example of a more exciting profile, but if what you like is the swoop up to the center stone it still has that

Do you mean for the James Allen setting, or the one Musey linked?

I think this is the setting closest to what you like on JA. Not as well executed as vatche.

No, she said 11043P so it should be this one.

I''m confused, the original setting the OP linked looked just like the Vatche one, but the james allen one is a more standard four/six-prong style...

OP, which style is it that you''re thinking of, ideally? Was the original ring you linked to reference the setting, or just the center stone?

Sorry if it wasn''t the setting, if it wasn''t I shouldn''t have posted all those Vatche settings as they''re way off!
