I’ve always loved the diamond version of this thread and think it’s about time that we coloured stone folks have one of our own!

Please share your outfits and CS!!!

Dolls not required but very welcome :lol-2:

I’ll kick off with a rubellite, my favourite bangle and most perfect labubu (she’s what we would call fine. She’s perfectly made).

Wow you must’ve had everyone turning their heads in the restaurant!

It reminds me of the red version of this…

And here’s my real life perspective (although it’s still a mirror selfie) of my new tsav pinky ring

Here you go, dressed up for a big convention in 2023, wearing diamond hoop earrings and a strand of white South Sea pearls that I purchased in Hong Kong back in 2009:

Apologies in advance - I just realised the my photo did not show me wearing a CS ring, DOH!!!

It would not be a red/pink red CS as I like to mix colours up; most likely to be my Aqua and Morganite or a pearl ring either the black Tahitian or the SoC mabe.

I love that you dress your jewels down... I do too!

Girl... those pearls are

!!

Thank you! I need them that big for my plus size chunky build and neck! :lol-2:

They look good from a distance, however, not perfectly round and have some surface imperfections.

However, they are good enough for me and was what I could afford at the time.

One thing I don't have (well, I don't have lots of things, I suppose) is a fine strand of SS pearls. I really, really want a multicolor strand with Tahitians, etc. But every time I start shopping, I think of a gem I want instead. :roll2:

A strand of blue Tahitians is on my bling wish list.

Can't wear multi-colour ones, just not keen on them, and I don't wear solid single colour very often and don't want the pearls to clash, if you know what I mean.

So so glamorous!

If I remember correctly, you’re going to Japan soon? There’ll be so many strands to try on! Blue T’s are amazing :kiss2:

Re: multicolour, if I may try to persuade you to at least give them a go, I used to avoid multicolour but realised that the body tone is what matters more to me. I like strands to have a similar body tone but different overtones add to visual interest.

Here’s the first strand of T’s I ever bought (similar body tone and similar overtones) and loved them… until I bought another in Japan (similar body tone but different overtones). I gave away the drop shaped ones to my MIL as I simply didn’t reach for them anymore (and made her very happy in the process so it’s a win win!)

Please forgive the sideways photos, I don’t have the energy to edit them all in order to flip them the right way round :lol-2:

Just what I'm after!!

I had to juggle (hehe pun intended) showing Juggling Clown’s face and Chansey in a casual shot. Would have liked to feature juggling more but he’s still pretty cute!

10 carats really doesn’t look very big does it? Especially when you are not taking close ups!

I wear so many print tees to uni, I think I need a strand like these! Love how they’re not just black though! A lot of the stuff I see just looks black to me so I never looked into Tahitians. I never wear black in real life cuz it freaks people out when they see me in black.

@Pomelo thanks for the pics and suggestion.

I have started to collect pics of blues that I would like to have in a strand, and based on my research to date, a full strand of blues is going to be difficult to source and it will be costly even for baroques etc...

Here is an example of the blues I am after - the second pearl on the left (the first one on the left is a tad too dark for my liking):

Screenshot 2023-09-15 235316.png

When I was in LA in 2016, I had broached the subject with Jeremy and Hisano when I visited PP, and they said a budget of 3k USD should be sufficient for a strand of decent blues, not fully round/perfect surface etc., which is what I would expect.

I shall up the budget to 4 to 5k USD as prices have gone up a bit since 2016! :lol-2:

Still planning to go to Japan, however, it is likely to be 2028 now, and it *should* give me a better chance to save up sufficient funds for some pearls goodies. Perhaps the likes of Takahashi could help with sourcing a strand of blues by that time, who knows.

I do like the idea of sourcing them from Kamoka one pearl at a time, however, I shall build up sufficient funds first before I approach them.

This will be a super high quality strand, look forward to following the journey!

Haha why are people freaked out when they see you in black?

I think 60% of my wardrobe is black lol, it’s so easy to throw on and goes with everything.

I am keen to look more at black and grey gems… grey spinel looks interesting!

I am known to be the pastel, florals and colour girl by everyone in real life. They haven’t seen me in black in more than a decade. The idea freaks them out because they’re not used to it. I recently bought my first plum dress and a navy blue dress which I really like (it was to go with a super loud red wig) so was looking into branching out to one black dress but everyone was like “Noooooooo that’s not you. You need colour.”

The butterflies are mesmerising.
