Ready to buy, need opiions

I''m ready to buy a stone for the Tacori 2628. I have three in the running but I''m open for additional input. Please have a look and let me know your opinions. I''m trying not to compare apples with oranges, so they''re fairly similar. Price is the least important of the selections, I''m looking at value mostly. The James Allen seems like a great deal, and scores the best on the cut analysis. Not sure if I''m missing something on this one. There are less pictures with it. Also like the WF, but the HPD scores a little better.

The James Allen has a hair more spread and a great price. They all look like great candidates.

Agreed. I'd ask for an idealscope of the James Allen stone. The other two brands are generall known to spectacular performers. JA can have some too, but you have to evaluate them individually.

Agree with the others the JA appears to be the best deal - ask for an IS pic as recommended.
Just to clarify, they are all about equal in HCA score - you just generally want a # less than 2 to weed out (sometimes on a case by case basis can go higher but that takes a lot of typing to explain - you can thread search if you have the time or inclination), then get IS pics on stones that didn''t weed out.

Gotcha on the HCA score now. I''m waiting for a response from JA. I would love to wrap this up this weekend. I''m going to call some local appraisers, but what is the typical turn around time on an appraisal? Any idea what I should expect to pay in Chicago?

They are all great diamonds, post the IS when you can for the JA diamond. Another point to consider is if you would prefer the pedigree of an ACA or CbI with their AGS0 reports, or the very slightly larger JA diamond if the Idealscope checks out.

One other point about JA, if upgrading in the future is a consideration. Their policy is not as lenient as the other two places. Just a heads up.



Interesting price difference between the latter 2, for the exact same cut quality/specs....
