I have not had the privledge to study a ton of 1+ ct RB in different lightings- but the one I have looks silver in the center in certain lighting. Would the actually color grade effect this at all? Say- a D color will look white in the middle and an I color will look more silvery? Or do all nice H & A RB look silver in center in certain lighting because it is the contrast of the black arrows or something?

Hi Green,

My arrows always appear silvery, however in some lighting situations they are more prominant, amidst the rest of the diamond which is very white/bright. Is it your arrows that are appearing that way?

I think it''s the cut, not the color.

Thanks- i guess it is the cut. It is an ACA from Whiteflash so I know the cut is awesome. Maybe i have seen more lower quality stones that do not have such a distinct and symetrical pattern such as the ACA H&A? It is 1.2 ct h VS2 and don''t get me wrong- in most light it glows. It just happens to look silver or gray sometimes so I guess that is the arrows I see?

Yep, I believe that''s it, since cut clearly isn''t the issue.
