Hi all,
I just went to Michael C Fina in New York with a friend who wants to purchase a RB solitaire pendant for his wife.
He saw a pendant there that he really liked--it had a fine white gold chain with a basket set .60 RB solitaire, "G SI". (I assume this means it isn''t a certified stone.) It was $1500.
This seemed pretty reasonable to me compared to similar-rated stones that I have seen on bluenile and other vendors--but I''m wondering if that''s because the MCF stone is uncertified, or because I''m missing something. (I just can''t imagine that a pre-set pendant from MCF could really be a better deal than a pendant from an online vendor.) Also, I don''t know a lot about RBs, so I suppose that MCF stone could just not be well cut. It''s only for a pendant, though, not an e-ring, so I don''t think he''s hyper-concerned with that.
Thoughts?
