This show is sponsored by the Tar Heel Gem & Mineral Club. Finished jewelry, rough minerals, fossils, geodes, related books and tools on display and for sale. Familiarize your children with the Lapidary Arts. *Admission FREE* Grab bags with rocks and minerals, some containing a faceted gem, available for kids. The club will sell and cut geodes and offer an on-going Silent Auction with new items every hour. One large area is set up to demonstrate faceting, cabachons, Opals, chainmaking, wirewrap, and gem trees. For info call "Prep" at 876-3434.

Yes, that''s it. It''s at the Fairgrounds in the Scott Kerr Building ( think that''s the name) I''ve been many times and have found some really nice gems. They usually have them 2-3 times a year. Usually in June or July again.
