Hi all. This is my 1st post on pricescope. I have been viewing posts on PS for about 6 months and I am now ready to make my perfect purchase. My girlfriend loves the radiant cut but I do have a few questions before I proceed with my purchase.

1. I like the radiant stone in the middle the best. Any input on the l * w ratio on this? I am guessing about 1.15 - 1.25.

2. I like the "fine line" setting for the Radiant with the slim lines near the stone but I wanted to know if their is a similar setting where the stone would sit lower and also opinions on this setting with the stone I like from above.

3. Lastly - Do you suggest a more rectangular or more square stone for this setting or does it not matter? Her hands are small and her ring size is 4 1/2. I am looking at aprox 1.25 - 1.35 stone.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

1.25 is a very skinny stone, so I would guess the middle stone is closer to 1.15...but that''s just a guess.

I think the fine line would look great with a radiant. You could ask WF to set the stone lower for you, it might be possible. As far as getting a more square or rectangular stone goes I would ask for *her* preferences. It doesn''t really matter on it''s own, these sort of things are preferences and you should get what she would like. If she doesn''t have a preference often it''s easier to find better cut square radiants versus well-cut rectangular stones.

The l./W ratio will be COMPLETELY up to you and your girlfriend, there is NO such thing as a ''perfect ratio''.

and 1.25 is in way ''very skinny'' in all the radiant research I''ve done (which has been a borderline obscene amount haha :D). It all depends on what you''re looking for. There are some 1.5-1.6''s ones out there, and a decent amount of 1.4''s. THOSE I would consider to be ''very skinny'' and I wouldn''t advise considering it unless you have a very good idea of what you''re expecting. I.e. seeing a 1.3 and thinking it could be a little longer.

The one plus size of the slightly longer radiants, imo, they do look bigger!

I don''t think 1.25 is skinny at all.

I''m out of practice eyeballing these things, so just get a ruler and measure the dimensions on your screen.
