I just bought a Radiant today and wondered if I got a good deal

GIA Report Feb 27, 2004

Ratio: 1.028
Carat: 1.6
Depth: 70.3%
Table: 70%
Cutlet: None
Clarity: S12
Color: D
Price: $8,900 in B/M and bonus of no markup on platinum setting.

This diamond was eyeclean and under 10x had several small inclusions. When compared to a VS1 under 10x, compared favorably. The VS1 had a dark inclusion but only 2 or 3 total. My diamond had no dark inclusions and each inclusion (a handful or less) were small. The diamond looks great in person

but was wondering numbers wise if I got a good price.

This is no absolute answer, by all means,

but at least comapred to the prices listed here, this one sounds nice.

Just FYU, D/SI2 radiants near 1.6 cts get quoted about 4500/ct. Your stone seems to have very desirable proportions, and this does not come free of charge

Neither comes free the opportunity to pick stones in person rather than online, for what it is worth.

Some online businesses would charge the same though - try Blue Nile.

Conclusion... Picture please ?

Here's one take on what different table sizes may look like... Lots of other details are at play in these three and any other stones (including yours) - but I hope the pic helps
