Well to begin, I have thoroughly enjoyed searching the forums here for quite sometime as an unregistered member, but I finally decided to make the jump; Hello World.

In all of the searching I have done on radiant diamonds, however, I feel the only constant I have found is that you must see the diamond before buying it because there are no constants or conditions for a guaranteed beautifully cut radiant.. haha. On that note I was hoping some of you, with the veteran experience that you have, could point me in the right direction towards an exceptional radiant diamond!

My fiance to be is interested in a 0.5 carat radiant diamond (rectangular is a bit more preferable than square).

-----
I have been to many stores this season and I have found only one diamond so far I think I may be interested in, although I have not seen it yet. I have limited specifications but tell me what you think from what I know:

0.53ct Radiant, Color: E, VS2, W:3.8 , L:5.5 , D:2.9

Not much, I know. I am thinking about putting some money down on it so they will ship it to the store so I can look at it before I decide if I want it. How does it sound?

-----

I went to radiantcut.com and found a store that is fairly close to me, I assume they would be a good place to try for radiant cuts? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help and it is wonderful to meet you all!

Hi and welcome!

You have obviously been reading up!

If you are buying from a store it is a bit more difficult for us to advise as we need images etc, and radiants need to be seen to be judged as you probably know. But compare as many as you can as radiants can show many different looks due to the faceting, shape etc, so you know what you like. If you want a branded radiant, then definitely check out original radiants at a store in your area so you can see which would be best out of generic or branded.

I take it this diamond you are interested in is not an original radiant? Is there a guarantee of a refund of any monies if you decided not to buy it? Check very carefully.

I wish I could tell you to follow certain guidelines which will get you a stunning diamond, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way, the best advice is to check out an original of what should be good cut quality, then compare compare compare to see which radiants speak to you.
