Radiant Cut Diamond Price

Hey guys,

I went to a local jeweler today to look at radiant cut diamonds. I''ve never seen them in person, but now I''m definately set on buying one. What do you think of this stone for the price.

depth 73
table 83 (could be reversed, i forget)
polish and symmetry VG
girdle thick

For 5180$. Are the depth and table just too high? It was the right proportion I wanted, and it was GIA certified. I''ve checked out bluenile and can get something pretty similar for 5-600 less. So would buying a diamond online be a good choice, then getting it set locally?

If that 83 is Depth, that stone is pricing under $3K in US on the diamond search engines. For the $5500 range you''re looking to spend, you should be able to line up that same diamond spec layout with table/depth ranges of something like T64-66 and D66-68.

83% is way out there. If it does turn out to be your depth%, that is REALLY off in my personal opinion. I''ll reply a little more later to expand on my thoughts.

Okay 83 is too big for EITHER measurement. Depth certainly cause your paying for what you can''t see... but table as well!!! You could set out a place setting on that thing.
