Quick question - any updates to share re: Bob Kast?

Any fresh reviews or info about Bob or his stones? From what I've gleaned from old threads, he used to be hit-or-miss, but then he hired an assistant and improved his communication and service.

I recently contacted him about some stones, and, to his credit, he very promptly emailed and also left me a phone message. As I am pretty much always at work, I politely told him I preferred email, if it was ok with him.... And I haven't heard from him since! Part of me wants to reach out to him again (his prices are so very good!). But there are so many vendors out there who are tech-savvy and super-responsive.

So, has anyone contacted Bob or bought from him recently? Have you been happy with your stones/transactions?? Should I give it another go? Sorry to be so long-winded, but I'm sort of wary of mailing a check to vendors without PS input!
