I am not familiar with AIG or TIG certificates, which is what the listing notes is the lab certifying the stone. So, I would wonder if you are truly getting a D color with SI clarity stone. You'll want to stick with GIA or AGS labs. The cut is also listed as Very Good, which would disqualify it automatically for me.

Thank you for the reply. The price seemed very low compared to diamonds found from PS suggested vendors. I noticed that the seller also sells the setting alone. Is it unusual to purchase a setting and a stone from separate vendors? And if so, would one have the setting sent directly to the vendor of the diamond being purchased (e.g., buy the setting from the Ebay vendor and have it sent directly to JA)?

Yes, the price point, especially when it includes a 1.5ct center with such a high color grade, is a red flag.

I don't believe JA accepts settings outside of what they offer, but you'll want to check with them to confirm. They have a bezel setting for rounds available, but it isn't a knife-edge like the one you posted:

It looks like you'd have to involve a third vendor to set it, which I wouldn't be keen on doing. It's not an overly complicated design, so I'd personally just have David Klass make the setting and set the stone at the same time.

That's a very similar design! Much appreciated. I can see how working with a single vendor would be much easier (probably less liability as well). Now to find the right stone...

If you post your budget and desired specs for the stone, I'm certain the experts here will offer you suggestions to consider. =)2

I'd ask nothing I would run.
