It could mean the diamond has been filled with a substance which can hide a feather type inclusion, rather like filling a crack in a windshield. Some companies do this, once the diamond has been filled it needs to be worked on carefully and disclosed that it is a CE diamond, otherwise a jeweller's torch and some acids they use can cause the enhancement to leak out. If this happens though, the companies will normally redo the enhancement free for life. As far as I know, GIA will grade laser treated diamonds ( ones which have had a dark inclusion zapped by a laser to make it less visible) but not fracture filled ones.Date: 1/19/2008 11:34:37 PM

For example when it says,
CLARITY: SI-1 Enhanced
what do they mean by enhanced?
thanks,
