and tis how i normally do it... you would not believe how much stuff im currently carrying around with me to work... loupe, pair of CZs, 2 H&A scopes, IS, 2 pairs of tweezers, back light...
but i ment more via the net without blinding them with science....
When I''ve tried to explain to layman friends, I say that the more perfectly a diamond is cut, so that all the facets line up correctly, the more sparkly it is and if it''s been cut symetrically too, it will have a perfect pattern of hearts and arrows when you look at it closely. Less well cut diamonds will look dull by comparison.
Most people can''t absorb more than that and it gets across the main idea: ideal cut diamond = the most sparkle possible
