Question regarding metal

Hi everyone

I was wondering: if I have two rings that I wear together (both are platinum and none of the diamond girdles are exposed - everything is cased off by the metal), do I need to worry about the metal rubbing away and wearing each other out?

Thanks for the answer - but then it raised another question, since platinum can easily be scratched wouldn't the rubbing next to each other create grooves?

wearing any two metals together will result in wear - and visible signs of it. period.
