I found a Dahnov setting that currently has a 10x6 marquise CZ in it. Will my 11x5.2 fit in it?

NO!

Especially NO! you will have to modify the prongs too much, especially since there are diamonds in them.

NO! NO! NO!

Just my opinion of course...

That's a bummer...that is one stunning setting! Do you mind sharing where you found it?

Hey Autumn,
clearly I'm not a jeweller, but I hope you get some more opinions. Wink may be right, but than again skilled bench people have achieved more - its not as if you are asking for a massive difference, the stones are awfully close in size (I am of course just assuming you have a marquise as you didn't mention).

good luck!

Thank you WINK, I am happy for your reply as I didn't want to buy anything without knowing for sure. I did find this on Overstock so if you have a marquise that is 10x6 or plan to get one, it's a stunning setting. Unfortunately they are selling display models so there are only a few and your stone would need to be the same size as the one (CZ) they are selling

It is a beautiful ring, perhaps you could get it and have a less expensive stone than a diamond set in it for you. That ring would be killer with a nice amethyst, blue topaz, aquamarine, rhodolite garnet, etc. cut to fit.

Although 1.50 mm looks so small on a gauge, bending those big prongs back far enough to accommodate a 1.5mm increase in size would be very unlikely to work.
